VOLUNTEER WITH US
We are looking for volunteers to sign up to weekly or monthly commitments of 2-4 hours. This could be serving in a variety of ways including baking cakes, serving food and drinks, welcoming and chatting with visitors, overseeing toddler activities and interacting with families.
Please see below the areas we are in particular need of help.

Meals with a Message - Set Up Team
Sundays 3.30-4.30 pm (monthly or weekly)
Moving furniture, cleaning for food service, setting up tea and coffee, games and activities.
Meals with a Message - Children's Helpers
Sundays 4-6.30 pm (weekly)
Engaging children, helping them take part in activities and supporting them in behaviour management
Meals with a Message - Cook
Sunday 5-6.30 pm (monthly on a rota)
To provide dinner for 30. Some time for prep before service is needed.
Food Larder - Set Up Team
Thursdays 12.30-1.30 pm (monthly or weekly)
Moving furniture, cleaning for food service, setting up tea and coffee, games and activities. Sorting food ready for guests.
Food Larder & Jericho Road - Community Engagement
Thursdays 1.15-3.45 pm (weekly)
Welcoming people, hospitality, having conversations and making the most of opportunities to share the Christian faith.

Meals with a Message is a place for families and their friends to explore the Christian faith, with games, crafts and a dinner for all.

Thursdays, 2-3pm, with tea and toast served from 1.30pm.
We offer surplus and short dated food to enable people to save money and reduce food waste.
DONATE TO OUR SWAP SHOP
We have a swap shop of toys and books for both children and adults at The Living Room. If you would like to donate good-quality items, please bring them to the cafe on Mondays. We cannot take full bags of items but would happily receive a few at a time.
